Guh. I'm sick. I missed a day of work because of it, which sucks, because I have a fuckload of work that needs doing.

Is it wrong for someone in their mid 20s to think about taking up bass guitar (again) and joining a punk band? I thought so.

I picked up the Zelda pre-order bonus disc yesterday. It contains The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time, a previously unreleased expansion for Ocarina, and an assortment of movie previes from upcoming games.

I never played Ocarina for the N64 - I was too poor to afford perks like consoles back then. It's a really great game - I played it for a good 6 hours this morning. The graphics are obviously dated - it IS 5 years old, but otherwise it's still a top notch game.

Now: the movies. The new Zelda game looks spectacular! Man I can't wait to get this game, it's absolutely stunning. From what I've heard of the Japanese imports, it has story and gameplay to beat Ocarina as well. *drool* There were also movies of Warioworld, F-Zero and... oh who cares, next to Zelda they're all pap anyway!

I'm neck deep into my new project at work, and I've come across a few issues that will set me back a bit. No big deal really, but it was bugging me just a little. I was looking at the schedule today and I had it all wrong - I have a full week more time than I thought I did so I'm actually several days ahead of schedule. YAY!

I've been getting better at playing pool. I only started a month ago (at work) but I've gotten considerably better. Ie: I can make 2 shots in a row now!

Picked up some nice new jeans yesterday. This is a very good thing, because I was down to my last 2 pairs and they're going fast. I also managed to find bras that fit, but that's for another blog...

I opened up my new GW model to make sure all the parts were there. I was missing the crotch and the right leg, but I DID have two left legs. If there's one thing I can't abide it's a crotchless daemon. I'll take him back to the store tomorrow.

I watched the replay of the Martin Bashir(appologies for the deep linking - it's the best picture of him I could find) interview with Michael Jackson on MuchMusic today. All I can say is this : the respect I have for Michael is a hundred-fold that which I have for Bashir. What an ass. I hope he gets an STD or something.

Happy Birthday to Me.

Thanks to Aaron for his snazzy gift, and to my father (believe it or not). In a rare human gesture he painted me a picture of a waterfall for my office. He must be going mad. Thanks to everyone else for either forgetting about it or letting it slip by - I do not enjoy celebrating my birthday and not bringing the damned thing to my attention is a fine gift indeed.

I broke a promise to myself today - I bought a new Games Workshop model. I made this promise for a very good reason - I have well over $1000 in unpainted models sitting around my house. However, I just HAD to have this one - the new Chaos Daemon Prince (sorry - can't find one decent pic of it online). Mmmm. Angry. Their new Chaos models almost makes me want to get into the hobby again. Almost.

I also picked up Die Hard 1 and 2 on DVD. I love the Die Hard series, they're three of my favourite action movies. I have Die Hard 3 on VHS but I've watched it so many times it's about to break. I'll be replacing it soon I think.

When the cheats don't work, make your own. For the record, if you want to give yourself more money on Pocket PC Sim City edit hex offsets 56 and 57 of the save game files. That'll get you up to ~$65k. Still trying to find the bytes for higher money.

See... brains and boobs arent mutally exclusive. :P

I've been really getting into Sim City 2000 for Pocket PC. It's a FANTASTIC port - I'm amazed at how faithful it is. Except in one aspect... the cheats don't work. :( They're kind of there, but executing them causes the game to crash. The save file format is different as well, and the city editors out there don't seem to work on them.
