I picked up Oblivion for the PS3 yesterday. I'm about 4 hours into it and I'm enjoying it quite a bit so far although I don't think it's the darling critics have make it out to be. The framerate stutters worse than any game I've played in years and the core gameplay is somewhat one dimensional. It's other strength (the absurd depth of the experience) is also somewhat of a mixed blessing. I have so many options that I honestly don't have the foggiest clue what I'm capable of doing. Still, it'll be good to have - there is so much content that I should be able to keep myself amused until something else worthwhile comes out for the 'ole waffle iron.
