I just had a wonderful daydream – a StarControl ][ remake for PS3 complete with online melee, downloadable for $10.99.
Is that too much to ask for?

Wordpress 2.5 is up and running and I have picked a template I like quite a bit. All I need to do is get some graphics to personalize it.
Geocache is Go!

Our first Geocache – GC1bF79 – is up and running. It went live by noon or so and immediately after it did I noticed a problem with the instructions. I had it fixed in about 5 minutes but apparently by that time some people had already gotten the originals and did their calculations based on them. The first to find happened sometime after 4pm today and their prize was an Eclipse branded USB stick graceously donated by Paul Webster.
In other news I think I’ll be doing the upgrade to Wordpress 2.5 this evening. A new theme may also be in the works – I really don’t like the one I have now style wise or construction wise. There are a lot of oddities deep in its bowels and I suspect it may be the root cause of some weird 404 issues I’ve been getting.
Super Startdust HD

I downloaded the expansion for Super Stardust HD. Prior to this download, SSHD was already our favourite downloadable PS3 game by a large margin and this expansion has only served to make the gap between it and the closest competition even wider. I can’t honestly give a full review of the entire offering because we haven’t been able to stop playing Endless mode.
Incidentally, observing someone else play this game is incredibly difficult. The amount of stimulus on screen at any one point is simply overwhelming. It’s interesting to note how much easier it is to look at while you’re playing. Your brain only seems to take in the gist of what’s happening and the majority of play seems to be governed entirely by automatic response. If you stop to actually look around you end up getting lost and dying immediately.

Tonight I was treated to an AWESOME belated birthday gift by the incredibly talented Erika Doyon at Living Colour – a portrait tattoo of my Pretty Princess, Crabby Abby! It turned out absolutely AMAZING. Erika took this photo just before she wrapped me up. It’s going to be sore tomorrow, but boy is it worth it. I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Endorphins are running out, so I should probably get to bed while I still have the ability to do so.

Slow Down Spring!

As much as I was looking forward to spring I wish it would slow down a bit. Our snow is only about 30% gone and our sub pump is already going off every minute or so. I suspect by tomorrow it’ll be going constantly. We’ve moved up from the basement some stuff we care about but there’s still a whole lot of stuff down there. Sigh…
